How Toon Tone Play
A Toon Tone game starts with a randomly generated target color. Your job is to recreate it with three sliders. The live preview updates instantly, so every small movement teaches your eye how colors shift before you submit the guess.
Look at the target
Read the color family and overall lightness before moving anything.
Tune the sliders
Use hue, saturation, and brightness controls to build your match.
Score the round
Submit the guess and compare target color with your selection.
HSB sliders in Toon Tone
HSB means hue, saturation, and brightness. Hue chooses the color family from 0 to 360 degrees. Saturation controls how vivid or gray the color feels. Brightness controls how light or dark the result appears. Toon Tone makes these controls visible so the color guessing game feels learnable rather than random.
Hue
Move around the color wheel: red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, and back to red.
Saturation
Lower values make muted tones. Higher values create electric, cartoon-like color.
Brightness
Brightness anchors the final match and often separates a close guess from a high score.
Scoring and 10-round runs
Each Toon Tone round can award up to 100 points. After you submit, the game compares your selected color with the target color using RGB distance, then converts that distance into a clear score. A full run contains 10 rounds, which makes the color accuracy test quick enough to replay and long enough to reveal improvement.
Color accuracy tips
- Start with hue before saturation or brightness. If the color family is wrong, the other sliders cannot rescue the match.
- Compare dullness next. Many close guesses miss because the saturation is too intense for the target color.
- Finish with brightness. A slightly darker or lighter color can change the score more than it appears at first glance.
